School Counselor
Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year!
My name is Julia Holder, and I am so excited to be entering into my second year as School Counselor at Littlerock. I feel so fortunate to be part of this special community of students, staff, and families!
For a little bit of background, I hold a Master of Education in School Counseling, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Whitworth University, and endorsements in English language learners and music instruction. Before pursuing school counseling, I taught fourth-grade and also have taught preschool music! Music is a big part of my personal life, and I am also passionate about using music and creative methods as tools for social-emotional learning.
What Does an Elementary School Counselor Do?
As the school counselor, I work with all students and families to foster students’ social-emotional and academic development. I offer support individually, in small groups, and provide classroom counseling lessons to all students. I partner with teachers, school specialists, and local agencies to help meet the unique needs of each student. Ultimately, my priority is to help all students and families thrive!
