Welcome! 

This year, I am excited to be teaching a blended first/second grade class. Throughout the year, we will have both small and whole group opportunities to learn and grow. I look forward to a rewarding year as our we develop our classroom community together.

Professional Biography

 In June, 2000 I earned my BA degree from the Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington.  In June, 2004, I completed my teacher's training at Pacific Lutheran University and received my teaching certificate with endorsements in Elementary Education, Special Education, Visual Arts and English/Language Arts.   In December, 2010, I passed a lengthy and rigorous series of assessments to become a National Board Certified Teacher and in 2019, I passed the recertification assessment. In 2016, I earned my Master of Education from Lesley University with a focus on integrated teaching through the arts.

Personal Interests:  

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, creating art, traveling, reading, crafting, kayaking, hiking, and listening to all kinds of music.
